Pre-trek briefing:
You will have through briefing before your Tambopata Tours 4 Days 3 nights. Your guide will meet you at your hotel and you can take this opportunity to ask questions and make any final preparations.
Itinerary:
Day 1: Welcome To Puerto Maldonado – Monkey Island.
On arrival of your flight or bus to Puerto Maldonado, our guides or staff will meet you at the airport or bus station and transfer you to our office to make a registration.
Your excess luggage will be stored safely in our office in Puerto Maldonado and then we will continue to the Capitanía port. We take our motor boat along the Madre de Dios River for approximately 40 minutes to Lodge.
Our first adventure, will be going to the hanging high canopy bridge and zip lines. The start of the adventure circuit is reached a tower and stairway that ascends to the treetops where a platform that marks the start of the zip-line almost 200mts long, the breathtaking views are only matched by the excitement of overcoming our fears and the adrenaline that courses through us as we leap off the platform supported by the high security harnesses that connect us to the zip-line cable to a platform 27mts high.
After a well-deserved lunch, we take the kayaks to the river, well protected with high quality life jackets, and accompanied by a motor boat that guarantees extra security; this level one activity is relaxing and accessible for all.
Getting Monkey Island you will be able appreciate a great diversity of monkeys such as the: capuchin, tamarines y squirrel monkeys we will put on a show of swinging through the treetops charging down the trunks of the large trees that form their home in order to accept food from your hand.
Nocturnal activities are available this night we have the caiman spotting.

Day 2 : Saldoval Lake
After a great breakfast and distributed to each traveler box lunch and snacks, we’ll take the boat to get to the control of Tambopata Reserve Zone, after 1 and half hour walking trhough the rainforest we are approaching to the famous Sandoval Lake. Its way by immense ancient trees and entangled vines; we will be able to see multihued flower and fauna including: Giant Otters, birds, coloured butterflies, turtles, and variety of fish. We will spend few hours in canoe on this one of the most beautiful lakes in region. Then we will back to our lodge.

Day 3: Native Family and Rustic Fishing
We take to the majestic Madre de Dios River with direction course downstream for one hour for the Native Community of Ese´Ejas, This community is one of the largest that has around 200 families, in this community we will interact and learn their culture, customs and we will have the opportunity to have direct contact with an ancient people of warriors, hunters and share their customs ancestral.
In the afternoon we will have time to go wild fishing in the Madre de Dios River, where with a bit of luck we will have the opportunity to catch some species such as the pictus catfish, the smallmouth fish, the armored catfish and the red-eyed piranha.

Day 4: Puerto maldonado City.
We will leave early to visit the parrot clay lick, we’ll board our river boat to visit the parrot clay lick nearby. Weather conditions permitting, we’ll have an unforgettable look at parakeets, parrots, and (with luck) macaw pairs dining on the mineral rich clay they use to help supplement their diet and improve their digestion. It’s a truly vibrant site with all the colors and movement.
After returning for breakfast, we pack in to the boat and head for back up river to Puerto maldonado, ending our service at the airpor or bus station.

Important Note:
- Tambopata Tours 4 Days 3 Nights is not endemic area about Malaria neither yellow fever you can bring a good insect repellent but if you decide to put the yellow fever vaccination for prevention you can do it 10 days before start your trip to the jungle.
- Bearing in mind the uncontrollable forces of nature, the program could be subject to changes at any time.
- Tambopata area is a rainforest that has remained intact because of it hidden location. This means the program involves much traveling by boat (for 4-days tour). However, it also means you are in a part of the Amazon rainforest that has no comparison, with an untouched flora and fauna!
- Every group can contain people who travel for 3, 4, 5 or 6 days.
